Just a quick post to say that I recently published a documentary film about the unique blend of Catholic and pre-Columbian religious practices during the Festival of the Virgin of Urkupiña in Quillacollo, Bolivia.
I’ve written about the Festival of the Virgin of Urkupiña before, and about the relationship between Urkupiña and political power in Bolivia.
But this documentary lets you experience what it is actually like to be there.
It might feel vloggy at times, but through interviews with local pilgrims, shamans, and vendors, I’ve tried to make something more meaningful than just a travel vlog.
