Pitch #1 Update

I sent a pitch to a publication on May 13.

A week later, I sent a follow up email. I got an out-of-office reply stating the editor will be out of town until yesterday.

Today is two weeks since the original email. I will not follow up again.

Not getting replies from editors is hard. Everyone is busy. I get that. But a simple “No thanks” is nice. Even an editor at the NYT once sent me an email saying, “No thanks. It is not a good fit.”

I will try pitching the idea elsewhere. If I get two more weeks of radio silence, then I will move on to step #5 of my author plan.
